It was so beautiful from the cave entrance!

The park offers incredible bird watching opportunities and is home to more than 200 different bird species. Not crowded. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. Get a year of AllTrails Pro for only $14.99. It over laps with the other trails especially the bridle trail so alot of it os wide and rocky. Mike very smartly wrapped the wood in a tarp before heading to bed, so we had dry wood to start a fire when we woke up. Spam?

Easy to access. Dogs are permitted on trails in Cuyahoga Valley, but they must be kept on leash. The cave got its rather unusual name because White Tailed Deer frequently lick the cave's sandstone to supply themselves with salt, which is necessary for their survival.

It was dark, we were tired and hungry, and we zombie marched back to the truck. Lick Creek is muddy!

Markers along way, but path itself is not clearly marked. And our tent was dry almost immediately! ( Log Out /  We was tired! There are some hills, but other than the small cave area, few rewarding views. The Deer Lick Cave Loop Trail is a nice wooded trail through the Brecksville Reservation. Nice changes in elevation for a good workout. Its a great trail. Some trails or park services may be closed this weekend so check with local authorities before heading out. He wandered around our camp for quite a while, we couldn’t believe it!
